About Our Company

Congratulations on discovering the rich family tradition of Cayten's Gourmet Brittle.

Big Dipper Food Company was founded in 2005 by friends Marty Seidler and John Cayten. Both had many years of experience in the food industry, producing hand made products with old-fashioned value. Wanting to branch out on their own, they pulled out John's family recipe for homemade Peanut Brittle, and an old tradition was revived.

Even today, our brittles are made in small batches, carefully watched and stirred by hand. We use quality kosher ingredients like sweet butter, syrup and fresh nuts. Our distinctive round brittles are poured by hand into molds, and packaged quickly to preserve all that wonderful flavor. Our products are shipped fresh to you or your local retailer.
